Update from Fridays racing in NZ

Update from Tim Osborne from NZ...

Gid day all,
Actually got 5th in the first race due to a disqualification.
For those stattos out there we were about 18th fastest out of around 50 crews. We seemed to do the turns well but need a bit more flat line speed if we want to be faster.
In the rep we came 7th so no cigar there. Was close between 5th and 7th but did not manage to pip team xylo from oz and a kiwi.
Jacks crew got 2nd in rep so through to final.
500m tomorrow.

Update from Thursdays racing in NZ

The guys have come 6th in their V6 1500m heat. They now get to race in the repechage which has been postponed until tomorrow. Also in this race, an NZ crew in which ex OCUK member, Jack Wormald is paddling!

UK takes GOLD!

Big news is that United Kingdom has won the Gold medal in the V12 adaptive paddle 500m in a time of 2:09 beating Hawai by a mere 0.86 seconds. The team was made up of 6 paddlers from Trentham Outrigger Club and 6 paddlers from OCUK.
