OCUK: Haku-Maroro:
4th Fastest time
2nd Thames based crew home
2nd in Paddling division
10th on Handicap
We had a good race - but were beaten by 3 better crews for fastest time.
Most notably a bunch of old reprobates called themselves Masters
International. (Fossil, Philippa, Colin, Roy and Peter Rance amongst
them).

They broke the course record - great job guys.
We finished up 5 mins 21 behind ( 2 mins 21 behind them on non handicap
time). So, close but no cigar!
Overall - good race - great job all.

We now have the 2 OC6's rigged up as a 12 for the Great River Race. So all training this week will be in the 12.
The weekend sprint racing went down well with all who competed. The final race was closely fought and the results were:
1. Brian Denholm
2. Keni Mayes
3. Tim Osborne
4. Pete Avery
Thanks to Mike McDermott for organising the event and also to Cameron Taylor for the starting and timekeeping.
Don't forget the club sprint racing on this Saturday at the clubhouse.
All welcome...£5 per entry and be prepared for a prompt start as we need to be off the water by 2pm. Briefing at 9am, racing starts 9:30.
We will also be rigging the OC-12 for the GRR and giving it a test in amongst the OC1 racing.
See you there
